Self-Hypnosis Script: Anxiety Release
This simple script uses visualization and metaphors to communicate with your subconscious to help you let go of anxiety and stress. Of course, you can always try our stress relief/management mp3, Perfectly Calm and Relaxed.
Begin by closing your eyes and taking several deep breaths, and allowing yourself to relax more deeply with each breath. And with each exhale relax a different part of your body in sequence (head, chest and upper back, arms, abdominal area, pelvis, thighs, knees, calves, and then feet and toes). After you've finished relaxing your body, you should be quite relaxed and ready to get started.
Imagine your at the top of some stairs that leads down to a beautiful meadow up in the mountains, and not to far from the bottom of the stairs is a very comfortable looking leather lounge chair in the middle of the meadow. Begin by slowly walking down the stairs and counting each step as you go (there are ten steps, so you'll count down from ten down to one), relaxing more deeply with each step you take.
Once you're at the bottom of the steps, walk across the meadow and seat yourself in the chair. Notice that there are large fast-moving fluffy, white clouds overhead. Think of something (an event or circumstance) that usually might make you nervous or anxious and send that event or circumstance into one of the fast moving clouds in the sky. And watch as the cloud carries that event or circumstance far away until it disappears. And at the same time, feel that feeling of nervousness or anxiousness just melt away from your body. Repeat this self-hypnosis session till the anxiety is no longer present. This could take a few days or several weeks.
