Hypnosis Techniques: Tongue Relaxation
The tongue relaxation technique is not very common in hypnosis scripts. I ran across the idea when looking at some yoga techniques. I find this can be a very effective method when it comes to focusing the mind and deepening a trance.
Here's one way I use this technique. I give the suggestion to a subject to focus their attention on their tongue with each inhale and relax their tongue with each exhale. I also suggest to them that their whole body will relax with each exhale. This requires great focus and helps synchronize the conscious and subconscious mind on one task. This can really help to deepen a trance and get the whole mind ready to accept and follow through on further suggestions.
