Self-Hypnosis Techniques - Direct Suggestions
Direct suggestions are suggestions given in a hypnosis session that instructs a subject to respond in a specific way. They are direct and to the point. Here a few examples:
Direct suggestions can be used to deepen a hypnotic state: "Take a deep breath and when you exhale, double your relaxation." Another example: "Feel this deep relaxation penetrate the muscles of your thighs and relax them deeply."
You can also use direct suggestions to change behavior: "You are finished with the cigarette habit. From this moment on you are a non-smoker." And another example: "You are feeling so relaxed and calm right now, and you can feel this peaceful serenity permeating every nook and cranny of your mind and body."
Direct suggestions are a simple, direct technique that can be very useful in hypnosis.
